Literary and cultural event “Shohnomakhoni” at the National Museum

Today, on 03/06/2026, in the State Institution “National Museum” of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, in order to familiarize young people with the history and culture of their ancestors, as well as to enhance the culture of public speech of the institution’s staff, a scientific and cultural evening reading Shahnameh – “Shohnomakhoni” entitled “Mother is the source of courage and heroism” was held. The event was attended by the management and staff of the National Museum.
During the opening of the event, the director of the National Museum, Ibrokhimzoda Zafarsho Safo, made a speech about the outstanding historical and cultural significance of the immortal masterpiece. Hakim Abulkasim Firdowsi — “Shahnameh”. In his speech, he stressed that the Shahnameh, as a unique treasure trove of world literature, plays an important role in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, national identity, courage and respect for the rich heritage of their ancestors.
The participants of the evening read excerpts from Firdowsi’s immortal epic “Shahnameh”, and also provided explanations and comments revealing its heroic and moral content. In addition, during the event, an exchange of views took place on the role of this great work in the development of national culture and the spiritual education of society.
It was emphasized that holding such cultural events in institutions contributes to strengthening national identity, improving the culture of speech and public speaking, as well as creating favorable conditions for attracting young people to read classical works of Tajik literature.
