Holding a Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Museums of Central Asia in Bishkek
From December 8–10 of this year, a meeting of museum directors was held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, to address key issues concerning the Council of National Museums of Central Asia. The event brought together directors from the National Museums of Central Asia, along with Professor Jill Stein, PhD, Director of the Centre for the Protection of Cultural Heritage at the University of Chicago. The meeting was also attended by the ambassadors of Central Asian countries and the United States to Kyrgyzstan.
Karimdodzoda Mirali, Head of the Department of Archaeology and Numismatics, and Firdavs Isroilov, Head of the Excursion and Mass Department at the State Institution ‘National Museum’ of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, participated in the meeting and delivered speeches.
The primary purpose of this event was to facilitate the exchange of experiences across various areas of museum practice. It is important to note that the Council plays a key role in advancing and implementing strategic initiatives in history, culture, art, and museum studies. Additionally, the Council supports the organization of exhibitions, conferences, and collaborative scientific-practical seminars and symposia.
