Opening of the festive show in hono of the “Capital Day”
On the 16th of April, 2024, State Institution “National Museum”of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, in collaboration with the executive body of the state authority of the city of Dushanbe, held a celebratory exhibition entitled “The City of Dushanbe: From Yesterday to Today” in commemoration of the “Capital Day”.
The exhibition was attended by a number of distinguished guests, including Deputy Chairman of the city of Dushanbe Odilzoda Dilbar, Adviser to the section of the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Social Development and Public Relations Panjshanbezoda Muhiddin, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharifzoda Manuchehr, and First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Writers of Tajikistan Ato Mirkhoja. The event was attended by representatives of the executive body of the state authority of the city of Dushanbe, management and staff of the National Museum, teachers and students of the Tajik National University, Tajik State Institute of Culture and Arts named after Mirzo Tursunzoda, Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Aini and media representatives.
In the official opening of the exhibition, the participants discussed the historical development of the city of Dushanbe, noting that the city has been inhabited by the Arian people since ancient times. Furthermore, they highlighted that approximately 5,000 to 6,000 years ago, humanity began to settle in this area.
The exhibition presents 110 museum items from the National Museum Fund, including archaeological finds, mints, paintings, historical photographs of the city, projects and samples of new buildings of the city of Dushanbe. These items reflect the ancient and glorious history of the city on the path of history.
During the exhibition, artists and actresses representing the Department of Culture of the executive body of the state authority of the city of Dushanbe presented a series of dances and songs to the participants, which are the anthem of our beloved capital, Dushanbe.
The festive show, entitled “The City of Dushanbe: From Yesterday to Today,” is scheduled to run until 25 April 2024.
