Opening of the exhibition ‘Female Image in the Works of Tajik and Chinese Artists’ in the National Museum

Today, 24 June 2024, the State Institution ‘National Museum’ of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan opened a joint exhibition of works by Tajik and Chinese artists entitled ‘Female Image in the Works of Tajik and Chinese Artists’.

The official opening of the exhibition was addressed by the Director of the National Museum Ibrahimzoda Zafarsho Safo, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan Matlubahon Sattoriyon and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan Xi Shumin.

The exhibition was also attended by artisans from both countries and members of the media.

The speakers discussed the development of cultural and friendly relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China within the framework of the cultural policy of the heads of both countries – the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation Honourable Emomali Rahmon and the President of the People’s Republic of China Honourable Xi Jinping.

The exhibition featured 50 paintings by Tajik artists, 21 paintings by Chinese artists and samples of Chinese calligraphy.

The artworks on display reflect the status of women in society.
