Opening of the Commemorative Exhibition “No One and Nothing Is Forgotten” at the National Museum
Today, on May 7, 2026, the State Institution “National Museum” of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted the ceremonial opening of the commemorative exhibition entitled “No One and Nothing Is Forgotten.” The event was organized in implementation of the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, aimed at preserving and promoting the heroic legacy of the distinguished sons of the Tajik nation, and dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The official opening ceremony was attended by and featured speeches from the Director of the National Museum, Ibrohimzoda Zafarsho Safo; Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan Bobozoda Faridun Tolib; Acting Chairman of the Council of War and Labor Veterans of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharipov Alisher Khudoyberdievich; representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel Sayorifzoda Qobiljon; representative of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Tajikistan Vera Valeryevna Khutorskaya; representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Tajikistan Nikolai Georgievich Kolodkin; as well as People’s Writer of Tajikistan Bakhtiyor Murtazo.
During the event, patriotic poems and songs commemorating the fallen heroes of the Great Patriotic War and reflecting the spirit of the wartime years were performed by artists of the National Guard’s creative ensemble, vocalists of the “Sharaf” Ensemble of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, and a group of students from Secondary School No. 70 of the Ismoili Somoni District.
The exhibition features unique artifacts from the collections of the National Museum, including paintings, sculptural busts, historical documents and photographs, military equipment, orders, and medals. The exposition highlights the courage, self-sacrifice, and heroism of the sons of the Tajik nation during the years of the Great Patriotic War.
A special section of the exhibition presents applications submitted by volunteers who enlisted for military service, including those of Maryam Abdulloeva, Said Barotov, and Soli Odilov, as well as frontline letters written by Mashrab Akhmedov and Abdusattor Kodirov to their families. In addition, personal wartime belongings of national heroes are displayed, including the field bag of Hero of the Soviet Union Safar Amirshoev, the belt of Hero of the Soviet Union Hodi Kendzhaev, the binoculars of war participant Charogh Kadyrov, and the canteen of war participant Rajabali Jalilov, vividly recreating the atmosphere of the battlefield.
The artistic section of the exhibition is adorned with works by prominent artists dedicated to the theme of war. Among them are H. D. Khushbakhtov’s Mother of the Hero Tuychi Erjigitov, B. T. Sapronov’s The Year 1941, A. T. Besperstov’s The Return of the Son, I. R. Rakhnaev’s Portrait of War Hero Negmat Karaboev, A. P. Beletsky’s Portrait of Sofia Niyazova, L. H. Khushbakhtov’s May 9, 1945, and Yu. N. Sangov’s May 1945: Meeting of the Victors, along with other works reflecting the heroic pages of Tajik history.
During the guided tour, Director of the National Museum Ibrohimzoda Zafarsho Safo noted that during the war years Tajikistan truly became a second home for evacuees from frontline regions. He also emphasized that dozens of industrial enterprises and film studios were relocated to the republic, while numerous scholars, cultural figures, and theater professionals arrived in Tajikistan and continued their activities there.
The exhibition “No One and Nothing Is Forgotten” will remain open to visitors until May 15, 2026.
