The Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan is pleased to announce the opening of Tajik Language and Literature Classrooms at Sharof Rashidov Samarkand State University.

On February 14, 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan inaugurated two classrooms for Tajik language and literature at Sharof Rashidov Samarkand State University. These classrooms, which are stocked with a large collection of scientific and literary books in the Tajik language, will provide students with access to educational resources. These classrooms will also offer students the opportunity to learn about Tajik civilization, culture, historical monuments, national attire, and traditional Tajik household items through documentary and historical films.

The design and furnishing of these classrooms was expertly crafted with contributions from specialists at the National Museum of Tajikistan. The university has received a permanent donation of 27 historical artifacts from the museum’s auxiliary fund, including ancient handwritten and lithographed books, calligraphy samples, metalwork, pottery, embroidery, and decorative tableware.
