OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION “THE IMAGE OF WOMAN–MOTHER IN THE WORLD OF COLORS”, DEDICATED TO MOTHER’S DAY

On March 5, 2026, the State Institution “National Museum” of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted the opening ceremony of a festive exhibition entitled “The Image of Woman–Mother in the Palette of Colors”, dedicated to the celebration of Mother’s Day.

During the official part of the event, speeches were delivered by the Director of the National Museum Ibrohimzoda Zafarsho Safo, the renowned Tajik archer Zebunisso Rustamova — bronze medalist of the XXI Olympic Games in Montreal (1976) and multiple champion of the USSR, Mavluda Hasan Sharifzoda, Deputy Head of the Department for Women and Family Affairs of the Executive Authority of the city of Dushanbe, as well as Dilfuza Rahmoni, Chief Specialist of the Department of Legal Affairs, Personnel and Special Work of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In their remarks, the speakers emphasized the high status and social significance of the Tajik woman–mother and highlighted her contribution to the development of various spheres of public life. It was noted that the mother is the most sacred being on earth, the light of the family hearth and the source of life itself. Respect and reverence for mothers are considered a moral duty and responsibility of every individual.

The event was also attended by women representing various committees, departments, as well as scientific and cultural institutions of the country.

The exhibition presents more than 38 works of painting and sculpture from the golden collection of the National Museum. Created by prominent painters and sculptors of the country, these works depict the image of the Tajik woman–mother in all her spiritual beauty, kindness, and dignity.

Visitors had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with works by well-known artists of Tajikistan, including: A. Rahimov — “Portrait of TV Presenter Khosiyat Olimova”, I. Lisikov — “Portrait of Malika Sobirova”, M. Shipulin — “Portrait of Actress Tukhfa Fozilova”, O. Yusupov — “Portrait of Gulrukhsor Safieva”, A. Ganiev — “Bust of L. Zohidova”, I. Ivanov — “Bust of Iqbolbi Nozimova”, and others.

The main objective of the exhibition is to artistically reflect the greatness of motherhood, foster feelings of love and respect for women, and promote the rich artistic heritage of the country’s painters and sculptors devoted to this timeless and significant theme.

The exhibition “The Image of Woman–Mother in the Palette of Colors” will remain open to visitors until March 19, 2026.
