“Nurvorizm” and “Tanvorizm” – the opening of the exhibition of the works of artist Zakir Sobirov in the National Museum.
On 10 July 2024, an exhibition of paintings by the renowned and pioneering Tajik artist, the creator of two groundbreaking painting styles, the recipient of international art accolades, Academician Zakir Sobirov, was inaugurated at the State Institution “National Museum” under the title “Two trends of one artist”. The exhibition is now open to the public. Prior to the official opening of the exhibition, a conference was held for scientists and art historians to discuss the creativity of the artist Zakir Sobirov. The opinions of experts on this topic were also presented.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Committee on Television and Radio under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Union of Artists of Tajikistan, the Tajik State Institute of Fine Arts and Design, the Republican Art College named after M. A. Olimov, as well as artists, art historians, artisans and other interested parties.
An art exhibition was held in honour of the late Master Zakir Sobirov, showcasing his exceptional contributions to the arts. The exhibition featured a comprehensive display of his work, encompassing naturalism, stage decorations, architecture, facial expressions, and other painting techniques. It also highlighted two distinct trends created by the artist, namely “Nurvorism” and “Tanvorism”.
Mr. Zakir Sobirov is the creator of two innovative painting styles that have had a significant impact on the history of world painting. He introduced these styles to the international community under the Tajik national names “Nurvorizm” and “Tanvorizm.” His styles represent a new phenomenon in national and international painting culture, and are recognised as a valuable asset to the Tajik nation, featuring creative features and natural elements.
The works of Academician Z. Sobirov were showcased at international and global exhibitions under the Tajik national name. These works were recognised with prizes and awards at numerous international exhibitions, due to their creative innovation and distinctiveness. Notably, the artist has received four gold medals (2015, 2019, 2020, 2021, New York, USA), the “Golden Eagle” award in the USA and the “Best Artist” award (2018) in Ukraine.
