Exhibition Dedicated To The 115th Anniversary Of Academician Bobojon Gafurov
On December 12, 2023, at 10 o’clock, at the National Museum, in honor of the 115th anniversary of the birth of the great son of the nation, famous public and political figure, Hero of Tajikistan, academician Bobojon Gafurov, an anniversary exhibition entitled “Reflection of the legacy of Bobojon Gafurov in the National museum.”
The opening of the exhibition was attended by the Director of the National Museum Ibrahimzoda Zafarsho Safo, representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan academician Yusufshoh Yakubov, candidate of historical sciences Abdullo Gafurov, teacher of the National University of Tajikistan Sabzali Asoev, as well as the winner of the national competition “Tajiks” – a reflection of the history of the people” Shoira Davlatzoda. At the same time, high school students of the National University of Tajikistan, the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after S. Aini and the Tajik State Institute of Culture and Art named after M. Tursunzade took part in the exhibition.
The exhibition presents 120 exhibits from the National Museum’s collections, such as paintings, orders, medals, diplomas, letters of gratitude, documents and photographs, books, testifying to the fruitful activity of Bobojon Gafurov and his significant contribution to world science. Also photographs depicting the visit of the Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, to the Republican Museum of Academician Bobojon Gafurov, and the speech of the Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, at the International Scientific Symposium, which took place on December 5, 2023 in Dushanbe in honor of the 115th anniversary of the birth of the academician Bobojon Gafurov.
The central part of the exhibition presents the published book “Tajiks” by Bobojon Gafurov, published by order of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, in order to study the rich history of the Tajik people. The book was published at the expense of the Foundation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and, on behalf of the Head of State, was given as a gift to each family.
Bobodzhan Gafurov’s outstanding achievements were awarded high state awards, including six Orders of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, and various medals, some of which are presented at the exhibition.
The exhibition “Reflection of the legacy of Bobojan Gafurov in the National Museum” will last until 05/01/2024.
